Best South American Travel Destinations


South American destinations are growing in popularity and offer travel some unique environmental and cultural places of interest. We chose Latin America, because we love food and culture in Latin America.

We started the trip to Mexico in the early 1970s as a child, way before the one million U.S. dollars condo projects ... or roads for that matter. As adults we continue vacationing in Mexico and traveled extensively with our children. It was really a natural extension for us to push farther south and Central America and South America, including in our travel plans.

There are many large South American travel sites, including only a few here that our family hopes to visit. All of these are simply visiting or arranging their own travel tour companies will have at their disposal and in South America Trip.

Amazon

Visit Amazon has listed everyone who travels to South America. Start the Peru, Amazon winds its way from the Andes through the many South American countries and through northern Brazil before emptying into the Atlantic Ocean.

Amazon is one of the most exotic places on earth, and there is a diverse ecosystem that is home to many plants and animals found only there. This is not to be missed tourist destination

Galapagos

is located nearly 600 miles from the Pacific Coast lies Ecuador Galapagos Archipelago, a string of 22 islands that is home to many unique plants and animals found only on these islands.

Giant tortoises, the unique Marine Iguana, Blue Foot Boobies, flying cormorants and Galapagos penguins are just some of the unique creatures you can find on the islands and seas around the island.

Access to the island is controlled by the Ecuadorian government and the most popular way to visit through approved tour operator. They offer a variety of trips, and they will have something that matches your interest, time and budget considerations.

Machu Picchu

For anyone heading to Peru, Machu Picchu is sure to be on their itinerary as the most visited tourist destinations in Peru. The Inca ruins are located about 8,000 feet, on top of the steep mountains above the Urubamba River.

declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983, Machu Picchu is thought to be built around 1460 and was an important city in the Inca civilization. exquisite beauty and spirituality sites attract visitors from all over the world.

Lake Titicaca

Another popular attraction in Peru's Lake Titicaca, the largest in South America, and it is believed that the origin of the Inca Empire. The lake is 12,500 feet above sea level, 122 kilometers long and 35 miles wide.
