Darts Basics - The Grip and the Throw

Holding darts is a bit like holding a pencil, and for most people it comes almost naturally. Most players will establish their comfortable way of gripping the dart at an early stage and will most likely stick with the grip as long as they play. What you need to remember that part where you grab a dart it will affect the way your darts will travel through the air.

If a player is holding a dart at the front then in effect "throwing" darts. This is because the weight is behind the grip. If a player holds the darts at the back then they were "pushed" him. This is because the weight is in front of their conduct. A player who has a dart in the middle of "flighting" it, because the weight is evenly distributed.

I recommend you try all three methods can observe the way your dart will travel through the air and the angle at which it enters the board. I'll tell you one thing though, do not hold the wrong or right and it does not matter how many darts travel or angle in which the country until you are hitting the desired target. Just try all the variations and see what feels more comfortable to hold and what do you think you can be more accurate in. When you first start playing, maybe your grip will feel awkward at first, but try to persevere and you will see improvement.
